ama lurAma Lur Restaurant near San Rafael (9km from Ibiza Center) appears to be simple countryside abode from the outside but its Basque decorated interior with Mediterranean accents simply exudes sophistication. The menu at Ama Lur changes often and features delicately prepared Mediterranean Dishes (plenty of seafood) created by the very talented chef, Gerardo Doval. Chef Sebastiano Altimari serves up not just classic Italian favourites like spaghetti vongole, and seafood risotto, but also healthy and light summery dishes like creative salad choices and surprisingly good pizza flavours. Their drink list is just as inventive with signature cocktail choices like coco chili mojito, fresh fruit juices, and a smart selection of fine wines. They also offer a children’s menu.

Diners can enjoy delectable Italian meals while lounging on beachfront daybeds from when they open at 11 am and sway to upbeat tunes spun by resident and guest DJs throughout the day until 1 am.

La Paloma is a lovely eatery set in what used to be a finca (farm) near the near the celebrity fave converted century-old farmhouse Finca Agroturismo Atzaró Ibiza. Stepping into the restaurant feels like hopping into a Disney animated movie, with walls of pale hues (blues and lavender, cream and white), and charming drawings of birds, flowers and trees all over. Outside, lemon, tangerine, and oranges trees plus the scent of many other fragrant flowering plants create a magnificent aura.

This family-run restaurant serves outstanding Italian and Mediterranean fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have their own in-house bakery too.

Many of their ingredients are sourced directly from Italy and they take pride in using purely organic ingredients, some of which are home grown at the ranch. The menu changes daily; but there a 99.9% that you’ll like something if not everything when go visit.

Restaurant Les TerrassesHit the road to Santa Eulalia, watch out for a sizeable blue stone on the right side of the road and follow that path to a well hidden gem of a boutique hotel which has a rustic and romantic restaurant – Les Terrasses. The whole hotel is dotted pieces of art – contemporary pictures, Moroccan bits and bobs, lovely figurine lamps, and pottery created by local artists.

The gorgeous farm serves delicious international fare (often French and North African) with a daily changing menu that features homegrown fresh organic produce. Tuesdays is couscous night and should not be missed. Their foie gras is also a house specialty.
