Berners Tavern at the very glamorous Edition Hotel in London’s Fitzrovia offers a sleek, stylish, and atmospheric gathering place for entertaining and dining throughout the day. The very special menu features wonderful elevated British fare created by the talented Chef Jason Atherton (one of many Gordon Ramsay’s protégés and also famous for Michelin Star rated Pollen Street Social) with help from chef de cuisine Phil Carmichael. The sizeable menu may take several visits to sample but be sure to try the Orkney scallop carpaccio, the Friday Fish special, Devon Red Ruby beef roast with luscious trimmings on Sundays, and Dingley Dell char grilled pork chop. The wine list is of course extensive but if you prefer to have some punch or go clubbing after then head to the adjacent nightclub or Punch Room.

Berners Tavern is open daily from 7am until midnight for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea treats and cocktails, supper, and late night eats. Sunday brunch is from 11am ‘til 4pm.

A private dining area with its own smoking terrace is ideal for intimate gatherings. Apart from the usual sea bream, ceviche, and tiradito Peruvian favourites, dishes like Sirloin with chimichurri, potato and asparagus bravas, costillas de chanco (juicy pork ribs in tamarind glaze), and pechuga de pato (duck breast in tasty soy sauce) are crowd pleasers.
