The fairly new gastronomic establishment Benu in Soma has already been making tidal waves in the restaurant scene mostly because of fantastic fusion of American classics with Asian flavours created by the very talented chef – Cory Lee.

Go for the chef’s tasting menu to treat your palates through a wonderful 17 course gastronomic journey. A la carte offerings are also available on Tuesdays thru Thursdays. The extensive wine list takes up 12 pages so there will surely be one or two that would please each guest.

Benu has taken on a minimalist look with light colours and a skylight that lets natural sunlight shine through; with several contemporary sketches adorning the cream coloured walls. Make sure to book a table at least two months ahead. Opt for the chef’s table if you want to see the labour of love behind the food creations.

Chambers Eat + DrinkChambers Eat + Drink is a fairly new player in the hotel restaurant scene having replaced Bambuddha Lounge. Its new décor has a wooden library slash 1950s LP record store motif. Zero ZeroZero Zero in Soma is a bustling Italian restaurant that serves great Italian food with a modern twist.  Chef owner Bruce Hill and Chef Colin Dewey add one or two unexpected ingredients that one would not find in traditional Italian fare which elevates dishes to a surprisingly delectable level.

The spacious restaurant has plenty of seats for singles, couples and huge groups having an airy downstairs dining area and a lengthy lounge bar plus balcony seating and a petite full service bar on the upper level.

The trendy restaurant is known for their specialty crispy thin pizzas – try the Fillmore (mushroom, pecorino, thyme, garlic grana padano) and the Geary (Manila clams, baco, pecorino, Calabrian Chile). Frequent diners also rave about the succulent pork belly and squid combo. Make sure to leave space for dessert; their soft served ice cream with choose your own topping is a hit especially with children and kids at heart. Frozen and cooked pizzas and dishes to go are even available.

There are also weekly and daily specials on top of the ample menu so regulars come here almost daily to savour hearty comforting Italian food.
