The island and tourist hotspot Capri is part of the region of Campania. Capri became a jet set Island in the 50s, 60s and 70s. But still today when you arrive on this pearl in the Mediterranean Sea you have the feeling of beeing thrown back in time and it is easy to understand why the island attracted writers, artists and celebrities like Greta Garbo, Clark Gable or Audrey Hepburn (who made the Capri pants famous). But despite all the glamour Capri is a wonderful island; a "must" visit is the Blue Grotto - a 60 metre long and 25 metre wide cavity which is just magic and no word or image would ever be able to describe it; having lunch in one of the wonderful beach restaurants at the Farglioni rocks after having a sunbath on the beach; and... after you get dressed up show off at the most important place on the Isalnd "La Piazetta", have an "aperitifo" with the locals in one of the numerous bars before dinning in a beautiful restaurant. One last remark: During the summer months Capri is packed with day trippers - so just focus on the time after 5pm
