Munich

Munich is the city of "Ludwig the Bavarian" near the Alps. It was founded by monks of the Benedictine order. Munich is famous for its annual Oktoberfest, Weisswürste and Lederhosen (which you have to wear at Oktoberfest if you don't want to be exposed as a tourist). Institutions of the city are the beer gardens and the soccer club Bayern Munich with its own emperor Kaiser Franz Beckenbauer. But there is much more to this dynamic city: Historic buildings, impressive architecture, design restaurants and the Christkindlmarkt during Christmas time. Among the most famous attractions are Frauenkirche, Königsplatz, Marienplatz, the Nymphenburg Palace and English Garden. "Servus" that's what you have to say every 5 seconds the moment you arrive in this fascinating city.
