Carbone in Greenwich Village New York recently opened last March 2013 to pay tribute to great Italian-American bountiful cuisine and the 50s and 60s era. The predominantly blue coloured interior makes the black and white tiled floor pop out. The ambiance and décor is very much like that of Godfather restaurant scenes. Owners Mario Carbone, Jeff Zalaznick, and Rich Torrisi are experienced restaurateurs have created a chic dining hotspot where people can enjoy great food and a comfortable classy venue.
It is said to be Jay Z’s latest favourite in town. The restaurant also has a private room for intimate dining and a small bar where guests may enjoy pre or after dinner drinks. Classical dishes like clam linguine, chicken scarpariello, lobster daviola, and shrimp scampi are offered on the menu. Other notable dishes include truffled carpaccio, and veal marsala.
Carbone is open daily from 5:30 pm until midnight. Making reservations are advised but walk ins are also welcome.
