Club de Pesca is an atmospheric waterfront restaurant on a private pier at Fort Pastelillo San Sebastian, one of the historic city’s forts. One of the main draws of the restaurant is the amazing view of the passing yachts and boats by the dock. For a more unique experience, diners may also arrive via boat from their docs in Bocagrande, or downtown Cartagena. The restaurant has been around since 1956 so they must be doing something very right!
The menu offers traditional flavours in elevating the taste of fresh catch of the day seafood and locally sourced ingredients. Apart from traditional taraditos and ceviches, and grilled seafood, they also have more modern dishes like crab risotto with bamboo shoots, prawn and langostine in wasabi sauce, and a few meat dishes like herb crusted rack of lamb in port and tomato sauce. The red snapper Pargo Rojo is a famous specialty. The extensive wine list offers Spanish, Italian, Argentinean and Chilean fine wines.
Live music entertainment on Thur-Sat nights brings more life to the open air restaurant in the evenings. They also have a private yacht that can be rented for private cruise parties. Club de Pesca is open daily for lunch from noon until 11 pm.
