D’Talipapa - review by Nicole Allmann
Style: Cheap Seafood Feast at the Market
, D’ Talipapa Market , Boracay
Area: Station 2
Price: seafood/meat/vegetables bought at market price; cooking fee of Php 100-150/kilo
There are many eateries at the D’Talipapa (local wet market) where guests can eat as much seafood they desire at very affordable prices. You can even shop for your own seafood right there at the market and choose how you would like them prepared. Get ready to feast on buttered prawns, chili crab, fried or steamed fish, grilled calamari and other exciting seafood specialties. They only charge a minimal amount for cooking the dishes diners request for (around Php 100 – 150 per kilo). Diners are spoilt for choices of side dishes as well; the green mango salad is highly recommended. Wash it all down with a cold glass of beer and expect to want to sit still for the next 20 min or have a nap after a hearty meal.
