Fowey Hall review by Nicole Allmann
Fowey Hall in Cornwall is a glorious retreat overlooking the sea near Fowey Port in Cornwall. Wind and the Willows author Kenneth Grahame was a frequent visitor who drew inspiration for Toad Hall from the beautiful manor. The beautiful French furnishings, oak paneling in the dining room, and Wilton carpeting exude unpretentious opulence and a very intimate and relaxing ambiance.

All 36 comfy and cozy rooms are done in traditional country house décor.

The hotel is a great place for a romantic escapade or a family bonding getaway near the beach. Children and adults alike would enjoy various indoor and outdoor activities like reading a good book at the library, taking a dip in the indoor pool, taking a stroll by the 5 acre walled gardens, bouncing on the trampoline by the play area or playing croquet, table tennis or game console activities, and relaxing by the soothing spa or soaking in the outdoor hot tub. The beach at Readymoney Cove is only 5 minutes away by foot and there are also opportunities for going sailing and fishing.

The hotel restaurant at Fowey Hall that is open throughout the day serves locally sourced Cornish produce and succulent seafood is considered a hotspot for both tourists and locals. There is no bar but you can order hot or cold drinks from room service around the clock and lounge at any of the many cozy spots around the hotel.
