Graffiato in DC Chinatown, owned by Celebrity Top Chef Mike Isabella is a casual Italian restaurant that offers seasonal Italian dishes with a Latin and Mediterranean influence, plus scrumptious artisan flatbreads and pizzas. The bi-level eatery near the Verizon Centre can seat up to 130 people. Diners can enjoy eating by the hearth enclosed by a U-shaped counter to see the kitchen dynamic or opt to be seated upstairs where there is an open ham bar. “Porky’s Revenge” which features Isabella’s signature sauce with pepperoni, sausage, and sopressata is a frequent diner favourite pizza flavour. Other must try dishes on the menu include cured lemon on bone marrow, roasted gnocchi, and sea urchin with crab legs. Drink options include special beers, cocktails and more than 60 bottles of wine served by the glass.
What’s great about Graffiato is that they continue to serve pizzas and flatbreads until late hours of the evening even when the kitchen is already closed. They are open from Mon-Sun for lunch from 11:30 am ‘til 5 pm, and for dinner from 5 pm until midnight (kitchen closes at 10 or 11pm).
