Gun Club Belgrade
Gun Club - review by Nicole Allmann

Gun Club bears a rather literate name, since it actually operates as a shooting club up to 8pm. So if this is your hobby, have fun shooting as a warm up for some fantastic live indie gigs or electro DJ sessions. The ambient is as cool as the music. The fully geared stage is surrounded with strings of gun man shooting targets, and blood-red bar stools. The crowd is correspondingly brilliant, sophisticated people 25-40 who know what they came for. Gun Club is the only club in Belgrade to regularly organize alternative rock gigs for up to 400 people, enabling both veteran and debutant local, regional and international bands to bond with the city’s music elite. Some of the concerts are quite exotic, and some are completely free, like the recent June 2012 independent Dutch indie bands promotion. If you have your own band and want to introduce your work to the central European audience, just send your tracks to the club’s executive producer, and move from there on. There’s even more awesomeness to Gun Club. On Sundays from noon to 4pm it turns into a records marketplace where music professionals and record collecting aficionados of all generations gather in search for rare gems impossible to find in regular music stores or even online.
