On the largest of Hong Kong's outlaying islands, the Discovery Bay residential reort is located on the coast of Lantau Island and is the only such development with its own 27-hole golf course. The development also boasts four clubs in addition to a wide array of recreational facilities. Built in 1983 by Robert Trent Jones Jr., it contains three 9-hole loops - Diamond, Ruby and Jade. The Diamond is the toughest due to extreme elevation changes and slick greens, the Jade is the shortest but contains challenging doglegs, while the Ruby is the loop with amazing views of Victoria Harbor and the South China Sea. The course is only open to non-members Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, but during weekdays one of the loops is closed, leaving only 18 holes playable: The Ruby Nine
- The Diamond Nine , combined with Ruby makes up a par championship course

Created by the Hong Kong Jockey Club to relieve some of the demand for golf in Hong Kong, the facilities on the uninhabited island of Kau Sai Chau have an amazing view of the Hong Kong skyline. The course challenges players not only in regards to the greens, but also due to this walking course's extremely hilly terrain. There are many formidable golf holes to challenged even professionals. It contains one of the toughest par 3s in the region, normally played into a cross-wind and ends in a green with sharp run offs on three sides. Other holes require players to clear ravines, drive sharply uphills, and play against strong headwinds.

Greg Norman partnered up with Harrison to design the 10th course at Mission Hills. Just by looking at the card, players will quickly learn of how monstrously large this course is, with 3,707yards in the back nine alone. The roughs have been executed with the unforgiving fescue, and those that venture that far may be abandoning the ball. This course is one of the most difficult in China and definitely visually arresting!
