Husk Restaurant in the historical district of Charleston may only have opened in late 2011 but it has become one of the most besotted dining spots since. The centuries old 2 joined up buildings and the main dining room that was built in 1893 has gorgeous Victorian details.
Chef Sean Brock works on his daily changing menu with inspiration from locally sourced fresh ingredients. Wood oven baked cornbread, pig’s ear wrapped in lettuce, bison short ribs, and brown oyster stew are some of the frequent diner favourites. The desserts like oatmeal pie and grand Marnier soufflé are also said to be superb. The bar offers contemporary cocktails, wines and has an impressive collection of bourbon.
Husk is open for lunch (Mon-Sat 11:30 am – 2:30 pm), dinner (Sun-Thu 5:30 – 10 pm), and brunch (Fri-Sat 10 am – 2:30 pm). The bar is open from 4 pm onwards.
