If you rate clubs primarily for the vibe, this is your place to start a night out at. After 2am, you can always move to Plastic just around the corner and dance along electro beats until morning. This won’t be necessary since you’re more likely to meet new friends in the super charged atmospheric basement of Idiott, one of the coolest and most authentic clubs in Belgrade, and have them show you more vibrant underground afterhours clubs. The fact that Idiott is always crowded says it all. There are numerous hyped new clubs around the city people check out, but they are always back to the real thing. Along with the alternative and arty 20-40 crowd, the best thing about Idiott is the music. Sing along to the classics ranging from the sixties to the nineties and dance along more contemporary electronic hits. The brick-walled basement full of cigarette smoke and circulating people creates a cheerful atmosphere in winter, while summer allows for a spacious garden perfect for chilling out over cocktails and people watching. If a day is too hot, jump over to the neighbouring botanical garden for a refreshing stroll and be back for some iced coffee or a cold pint of local beer. Idiott occasionally presents live gigs and film screening evenings.
