It is a family-owned restaurant opened that in on the desolate island of Espalmador in 1972 by fisherman Juan Boned who married Soria-native Andrea. Juan would catch fish and other seafood while Andrea cooks and serves them to the locals. Soon, word spread of this idyllic beach bar and Juan y Andrea was born. Now their three sons – Andres, Juanjo and Jorge – are managing the restaurant where you can walk barefoot on the powdery-white sand.

Their dishes are filled with the best the sea could offer. First-time guests can start with marinera clams, Formentera prawns, grilled sardines or any of the house specialty salads.

Main dish offerings include lobster cooked on the grill, buttered with garlic, or as a paella, and fish that are either cooked on the grill or made into fish paella. Carnivores need not fret for they also offer succulent lamb chops or beef tenderloin for the meat-lovers out there. Juan y Andrea Restaurant serves lunch 12:30 – 3:30 pm and dinner until 11pm daily.
