Opening Hours:

Industrial chic gets a whole new meaning at K.C.Grad, the European Center for Culture and Debate, a multi-functional space within a run-down warehouse building dating back to 1884. The alternative minded creative team behind the Centre decided that leaving the bare brick walls and concrete blocks untouched was the way to go to make a hip blend with contemporary art exhibitions and non-commercial fashion shows. Still, Gradstore is a store, or rather a stall with artsy goods, accessories and some original souvenirs placed right at the entrance area of K.C.Grad. Aside from supporting young designers, they promote critical thought as you can listen to or participate in some of the debates which can also be international, held in English. What Kulturni Centar Grad has become most famous for are the great gigs of really attractive under-the-radar names. This is what makes it so hip, not the hipsters’ outfits, attitudes and your fun times watching them, but the cool international live performers including Canada’s “China Woman” and the likes. Drinks are moderately to affordably priced, and the most special spot to enjoy them during summer is the courtyard where you can actually talk and mingle with anyone you like when it gets just too loud to talk inside. K.C.Grad is the result of cooperation of its city municipality, a local group of citizens and activists and a Dutch foundation based in Amsterdam. This is one of very few Belgrade clubs with a truly cosmopolitan vibe. In case you’re planning a Belgrade press conference or a work shop in some of the art fields, don’t hesitate to ask to book this unique space which adds credibility to pretty much all onsite events. The striking old industrial building is surrounded with even more dramatic villa debris and the huge Branko Bridge silhouette. The Savamala hood can be rightly labeled as seedy, which only adds to the underground appeal.
