Locanda in Mission is a Roman themed Italian osteria that offers delicious eat in a contemporary casual setting. The trendy eatery has ornate tiled walls and ceiling, retro stools and lighting, a one of a kind wood burning oven that gives off mouthwatering aroma. The bustling restaurant is almost always packed so best make reservations if you do not want to sit at the communal table.
Owners Annie and Craig Stoll and Chef Anthony Strong offer a seasonal menu with frequent diner favourite staples like their Jewish-stlye fried artichoke starter, Bavette steak, and whole fish served grilled or on acqua pazza. The homemade pasta offerings are also quite notable, especially the pecorino and lamb ragu. Italian fine wines are also on offer.
Locanda is open daily from 5:30 – 10 pm.
