Hoi Polloi just recently opened this October 2013 at the Ace Shoreditch Hotel and it is already made its way into the bellies, hearts, and minds of locals. If you’re craving for delicious food, anytime of the day, then come here to its charming Scandinavian cruise ship themed interiors and listen to retro 80’s pop tunes. But even with the retro theme going on, they are indeed modern with snazzy regular tables, dinner cabins, and booths that have usb plugins and chargers for your laptops or smart phones. This eatery brought to us by the clever “Bistrotheque restaurant team” is fast becoming a trendy hang out for yuppies. The menu, cleverly guised as a newspaper, offers local fare and their bar is always bustling with great conversations. What’s great is if you fail to make a reservation, then you can grab a seat and be served food at the bar. Most people come back at different times of day to sample everything on the menu. Whether for breakfast, elevenses, snacks, afternoon tea, lunch, dinner, weekend brunches, or even for nightcaps, Hoi Polloi would be a great place to enjoy fine food.

Novikov is huge and has two Italian & Asian restaurants and a hip lounge downstairs.
The restaurants overflow with opulent and exquisite decor. The heart of London beats seamlessly blends with Russian rhythms in the lounge. Arkady Novikov is the restaurateur who pushed the limits and mixed cultures in a unique way, and created this other worldly restaurant. His Asian and Italian restaurants open daily to guests at 4pm. The Russian elegance, extravagance, and opulence are seen in every piece of the restaurants’ architecture, and people coming here have the same elegance in the dress code and behavior.

The food is divine. The reputation of Novikov inspires  perfection. That’s why, the staff working here is carefully selected, the chefs being the crème de la crème in what concerns Italian and Asian cuisine. The ingredients are mixed in such a unique way, that just a single mouthful reveals each ingredients greatest potential of flavor, the chef is a real master of flavors.

If you have a craving for succulent wood fired oven meals and succulent charcoal grilled meats then Rextail Bar and Grill in Mayfair. The trendy eatery owned by famous restaurateur Arkady Novikov (owns more than 50 restaurants) has very interesting décor, with little trinkets, ceramic potteries, metal works, plush red velvet and leather seats that line each side of the restaurant. The vibrant eatery can get cramped on busy days so avoid the centre isle table for two if you do not want waiters passing you left and right every minute; book a booth in the back if you want a bit of privacy.

The menu features not only tender and juicy grade A steaks but also globally influenced game dishes and caught on the same day seafood. Their charcuterie and cold meat selection are also excellent. Try the melt in your mouth wood roasted dishes like braised oxtail and peppers, baby lamb shoulder, veal Milanese, or the charcoal grilled favourites like dry aged rib eye or sirloin minute steak.

The Palomar Restaurant in SoHo is a bustling, loud, fun-filled, and dynamic 1930s themed colourful eatery that serves an eclectic mix of bold flavours coming from modern day Jerusalem infused with Arabic, Jewish, Spanish, North African, Mediterranean, and Moroccan influences.  London's most talked about restaurant right now after you know where (Chilterns Firehouse) owners Zoe and Layo Paskin (AKA and The End nightclubs fame), Uri Navon, Yossi Elad, and Assaf Granit (owners of Jerusalem’s Machneyuda restaurant) opened its doors in May 2014. The vibe here is as lively as the bright blue seats of the kitchen bar where wonderful aromas will surely make your mouth water upon entering the diner. Walk-ins are welcome at the kitchen bar but there is a 40-seater dining room in the back that one should pre-book in order to be able to completely enjoy and slowly savour the exhilarating culinary creations. Start with either the raw bar offerings or the Nishnushim snacks like the Moroccan Oysters, Kubaneh (Yemeni baked bread with tahini), Jerusalem style Polenta, or the assorted Mezze. The Persian oxtail stew, Moroccan seafood Chreymeh, and Kurdish Hamusta Mussels are crowd  favourites for main courses.

If you want a culturally rich palate pleasing dynamic dinner then come to Palomar Restaurant from noon until 2:30 pm for lunch and 5:30 – midnight for dinner on Mondays through Saturdays (12 – 5 pm on Sundays).

Star studded, swanky and stylish are the first words that come to mind when describing Gordon Ramsay and fellow footballer David Beckham’s latest restaurant – the Union Street Café in London. The glamorous eatery set in a sophisticatedly decorated warehouse near Borough will open on September 16th 2013. The kitchen will be serving up locally sourced freshest seasonal ingredients and artisan produce made into scrumptious Mediterranean influenced fare. The menu is set to change often so diners can look forward to a different experience each time they visit. A theatre style open kitchen will surely add entertainment as guests can see the brigade of chefs in action.

There is also lounge bar underneath the restaurant space. It is a stylish urban living room with comfy plush velvet green, red, and yellow seats contrasting against muted earth colours of artworks and the walls. The bar will be offering classical and innovative cocktails with Italian flavours and Mediterranean influences.

The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner daily while the bar is open from 5 pm until midnight. During the first several weeks, only bookings of a maximum of 6 people per table will be entertained. Best call weeks in advance to book for a table.
