True to its name, Beauty and Essex is a restaurant surrounded by glamour and beauty of the 1960s. The uber chic eatery has an old school pawnshop façade with flying V rock guitars and little trinkets from the past. A back door leads to the “underground” nightlife surprise; the ground floor is a stylish and sleek restaurant that serves tapas and doubles as a lounge. A spiral staircase that has a gorgeous 6foot chandelier leads to the upper floor to yet another stunning dining area, the bar, and fascinating comfort rooms (fascinating because the ladies’ powder room has free flowing pink cocktails!). Chef and owner Chris Santos serves Spanish inspired Nouvelle American tapas with innovative dishes like roasted bone marrow, wonton tacos with tuna poke, and Cuban style baby back ribs. Their drink list is equally as inventive – try their signature dish the “Beauty Elixir”.
Beauty and Essex is open for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays 11:30 am until 3 pm and for Dinner every night from 5 pm ‘til 1 am.

The classy eatery is divided into several dining areas – a lounge designed like a library, a 24 foot mahogany bar, an atrium room ideal for luncheons, the parlour reminiscent of a Victorian sitting room, or the fireplace room with a blazing hearth.

The full menu is served in the Parlour and Atrium dining areas while snacks are served in the library and at the bar where a long list of cocktails, aperitifs, and wines are also on offer.

Food offerings at the Nomad have notable French and Mediterranean influences with dishes like king crab tagliatelle, poached lobster with asparagus, and confit sucking pig with dried plums and greens.
The restaurant at Nomad Hotel serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily from 7 am until 10 pm. Weekend brunch starts at 11 am until 2 pm.

Tiny’s and the Bar Upstairs in Tribeca, owned by restaurateur Matt Abramcyk and by sportsmen Sean Avery and Henrik Lundquist,  is a fashionable eatery offering the town a place to unwind and to enjoy good food. The not so tiny three storey restaurant and bar as a rustic Americana theme with antique furniture, tin ceilings, metal chairs and tables, Johny Cash tunes in the background, and servers wearing old school aprons.

The Tiny’s kitchen serves Nouvelle Americana fare with a touch of Italian influence. Try the fish (hake) and chips or dry aged burger for lunch and grilled pork chop or pan roasted hake for dinner mains. Expect the place to be brimming with Rangers fans so best make reservations.

Tinys and the Bar Upstairs serves lunch Mon-Fri (11:30-3:30 pm), brunch on weekends 10:30 am until 3:30 pm, and dinner daily from 5:30 pm ‘til late.

Torrisi Italian Specialties Restaurant is a grocery store looking sandwich shop by day and a casual eatery by night. In the day time, salamis and progresso bread are displayed by the window entice the lunch crowd to come in and order at the counter. Chicken or eggplant parmesan and hero sandwiches are recommended for lunch. At night, it transforms into a casual restaurant that seats around twenty people (cannot accommodate groups of more than six). The menu changes weekly featuring American-Italian contemporary cuisine. Some people find it a bit odd that NO Italian wines are on offer.

Torrisi is open for lunch only from Fri-Sun noon until 2 pm, and dinner daily from 5:30-11 pm. Reservations are essential.
