OX in Northeast PDX is a great restaurant that offers hearty and tasty Argentinean comfort food. Chefs and real life partners Gabrielle Quiñónez and Gregg Denton opened the restaurant doors in early 2012 and they have already made an indelible mark in the Portland restaurant scene as a much loved neighbourhood restaurant mainly because of the amazing menu and also because of the trendy and vibrant ambiance of the eatery.
OX is a meat lovers’ haven and is arguably the best steak joint around town, but they also offer vegan and fish. Other must try menu items include spicy braised octopus with beef tripes, chimichurri, Marcilla (blood sausage), cocoa braised lamb, ceviches and the fiambres/charcuteries. Delicious cocktail mixes are also on offer.
OX accepts reservations for parties of 6 or more people. Book the Chef’s Table if you want to impress a date. They are open from 5 pm until late on Tue-Sun nights.
