Poke Stop in Oahu, with another location in Waipahu, is the brainchild of “shoreline chef” cookbook author Elmer Guzman who is famous for his innovative cuisine featuring Hawaiian reef fishes. Poke Stop is a unique modern day seafood market and eatery that sells gourmet seafood treats at affordable prices. The quaint eatery has a fast food joint feel but the food here is gourmand. Over 25 kinds of poke are available and on display in glass chillers. Frequent diner favourites include tempura coated ahi, kapakahi and opihi poke, furikake salmon poke, beer battered snapper, and red velvet cake and cheesecake for desserts. All day hot dishes like soup, sandwiches, and set meals like the deconstructed sushi bowl, and various bento options are also available. Make sure to ask about the daily specials too.
Poke Stop will surely satisfy poke cravings from Mondays thru Saturdays from 8 AM until 7pm and from 9am until 4pm on Sundays.
