Praya Palazzo review by Nicole Allmann
Immersed in rich Thai history is the lovely Praya Palazzo in the heart of Bangkok. Dating back from 1923, it used to be a home to Praya Chollabhumipanish, a noble of the Royal Court. Later in 1946, his family moved to Sukhumvit and the ownership was transferred to the Foundation for Muslim Community where it was turned into Rachakarun School.

The school closed in 1978 due to financial crisis, but bounced back after five years and became Indara Vocational School until 1996. A decade after until Assistant Professor Wichai Pitakvorrarat renovated the building and brought to life as Praya Palazzo in 2009. The boutique hotel is now complete with modern amenities - outdoor pool, a library and a local art gallery.

Interesting historical sites are also just a few steps away – The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, The Grand Palace, The National Museum, Wat Aroon, and ChinaTown to name a few.
