Red Farm in West Village is a bustling eatery that offers contemporary and innovative Chinese cuisine in a rustic yet modern barnyard setting. The brains and skills behind the fusion restaurant include stellar restaurant scene personalities Ed Schoenfeld, Jeffrey Chodorow, and Chef Joe Ng. The bustling restaurant has two long communal tables in the middle and several tables on each side of the dining room. The food here is truly inventive and playful with shrimp dumplings looking like pac man and the ghouls and summer rolls looking like chanterelle mushrooms. The food tastes just as good if not better than how it looks. Try the seared pork chops, sea bass in miso sauce, and yuzu-wasabi shrimp. You may need to return two or three times more to sample other menu items that will surely please the palate.
Red Farm restaurant serves dinner nightly from 5 pm until late and brunch on weekends from 11 am until 2:30 pm. Reservations are accepted only for parties of ten or more with pre ordered set menu.
