Stella in the New Orleans French Quarter is an ultra-stylish restaurant which is named after a character in a Tennessee William play – A Streetcar Named Desire. The main dining are is elegantly formal and gets really romantic with candle lit tables at night. They also have private dining areas for special events – the Cartres room that can accommodate 25 guests, and the Honfleur room that can serve up to 50 people.
Scott Boswell serves farm to table fresh ingredients in creating European classics and New American fare like duck prepared 5 ways and German osetra. There are also some Asian inspired offerings like sake and miso glazed sea bass served with udon. Escargots, oysters and various types of caviar are also on offer. Their drink list is just as impressive having both local and international fine wines.
Stella is open daily from 5:30 – 10:30 pm. Reservations are a must.
