The Augustine hotel bears its name after the 13th century monastery which was housed in one of the 7 historical buildings on the property. Several friars still live here. The hotel is electic in style, designed by Olga Polizzi who joined the gothic remnants with cubistic and art deco furniture, retaining the original ancient iron doors and windows in some of the rooms. Rocco Forte the Augustine accommodates families with free stays for kids under 3, babysitting service available and packed lunches available to take away for your day of sightseeing.

The Augustine hotel primarily caters to business guests with 5 multi-functional meeting rooms equipped with fax service, flipchart, IT centre with wired broadband, overhead projector, printer, slide projector, photocopy service, video conferencing, interpreting and translation services. The inner courtyard restaurant serves national dishes along with Czech wines, and alternatively international fare. Picture floor-to-ceiling glass doors allow for relaxing views of the courtyard garden and cloister terrace.

Tom’s bar serves Angel cocktails themed after the ceiling frescoes in the former refectory, while you can find the Brewery Bar in the ancient monastery’s brewery cellar and taste St. Thomas beer first made in 1352. This is a must stop even if you are not staying at the hotel.

Everything is so SEXY. I think that's the best word I can think of to describe The Rocco Forte. From the moment you walk in and see the decor, to the dimly lit hallways and the gentle music playing in the background... it's an experience from the moment you walk in.
