Style: Traditional Spanish Cuisine and Tradition
2117 East 7th Avenue
, Tampa , FL
Area: Ybor City
Phone: +1 813 248 4961
Price: $10 –14 main course
The Columbia is not only the oldest running restaurant in Florida; it is also the oldest Spanish restaurant in the United States and the grandest Spanish restaurant in the world.
What’s a Spanish restaurant without the world-renown Tapas? Accompanying a glass of Sherry is Chorizo “Española”, Gambas “Al Ajillo”, or Empanadas de Picadillo. For the main course are succulent Picadillo “Criollo”, Chicken and Yellow Rice “Ybor”, and Palomilla among many others.
As their way of thanking all their customers, The Columbia offers special menu with 1905 prices one Sunday in mid-September as they celebrate 1905 Day. Their regular business hours starts at 11am until 10pm from Monday ‘til Thursday and extends ‘til 11pm during Fridays and Saturdays. During Sundays, they are open from 12 to 9 pm.
