Idle Rocks Hotel set in a century old structure that was once a bakery in the centre of St. Mawes first opened as a hotel in 1913. The new owners, motorsport celebrity David Richards (chairman of Aston Martin) and wife Karen recently refurbished the historical structure and turned it into a posh and contemporary seaside hotel with a laidback ambiance. The interiors are adorned with sea-grass carpets and Cornish artworks with bold colours.

All the 20 rooms have a chic nautical theme that complements the azure waters. There aren’t many facilities on site but guests may enjoy in-room relaxing aromatherapy massages, chill out by the cozy lounge or terrace, take part in plenty of outdoor and water activities for young ones and adults. Guests enjoy complementary full English breakfast and room service is available round the clock. The hotel restaurant is quite famous and it is open throughout the day and the sleek long hotel bar links the restaurant to the terrace area where guests may enjoy magnificent sunset views.
