Well known dough master and pizza chef Anthony Mangieri recently graced the bay area dining scene with somewhat of a pizza shrine cum restaurant in Soma. He uses naturally leavened dough (no yeast) which makes for an unbelievably flavourful crust. The oven is in an open kitchen so diners can watch as the chef works on his brilliant pie creations. 5 pizza choices (Eiletti, Marinara, Margherita, Bianca, and Ilaria) are available most days; an additional Apollonia flavor choice for Saturdays only. Napolitan coffee and some Italian wines are also on offer.
Una Pizza Napoletana only serves 150 pies on days that they are open (Wed, Thu, $ Sat) from 5 pm onwards or until they run out of fresh pizza dough.
candlelightReason for 4 star: They are late to serve. Best food and service in San Francisco I ever got - truly the best the City has to offer. Have been there many times, and will go as many more as I can! Once again, Recommended.
