Akwaaba Mansion

Akwaaba Mansion welcomes (literally translates to “welcome” in Twi Ghana language) guest to a picturesque tree-lined avenue, surrounded by beautiful brownstone architecture in Brooklyn, NY. Expect lovely African textiles and artifacts and meticulously restored 1860s features like 14 foot ceilings, charming 52 glass window enclosed porch, ornately designed fireplaces made from marble, wood, and elaborate tiles, original cast iron radiators, and a serene garden.

Communal spaces include a beautiful formal dining room, a ballroom, and a relaxing sitting parlour, and a tranquil garden ideal for enjoying a good book under the shade of tall trees. There is a cozy café where you can enjoy reading one of the many Brownstone Books on the bookcases and enjoy looking at parlor antiques, and a soul food-style restaurant serving a hearty Southern breakfast and a tasty afternoon tea.
