Der Teufelhof Basel
Der Teufelhof Basel hotel is an individually owned property with a local atmosphere conveyed through somewhat austere rooms reflecting the regional mentality shaped by protestant philosophy. The rooms are basic, all in white, quality wooden floors that tend to be noisy, no air conditioning so avoid staying here during the hottest periods. However, there are luxury touches – super comfortable beds, artwork, CD players and a library. TV is available only upon request, which gives a clear message and a character to this arty hotel.
Der Teufelhof Basel has an archaeology cave right in its underground area, a very interesting sight. Dining is classy at the more expensive Michelin starred restaurant and at the charming brasserie.
