Estancia Vik Jose Ignacio
Emerging as Uruguay’s premiere international destination is the vibrant coastal area of Jose Ignacio, just 20 kilometers northeast of Punta del Este. Sitting on this rolling countryside is the vast, Spanish colonial-styled 50,000 ft2 building featuring a number of original designs by contemporary and local artists.
Inside Estancia Vik Jose Ignacio’s spacious living room stands a 12 feet tall, white marble structure by world-renowned artist Pablo Atchugarry. This marvelous creation meets the 300 m2 ceiling adorned by the “Google Earth-inspired” painting of Clever Lara. At the back is a courtyard with black granite swimming pool surrounded by lush green lawn, wooden decks, and loungers.
There’s also a private chapel beautifully painted by colorist Carlos Musso. Works of art are extended unto the Estancia’s suites, like a masculine-inspired Master Suite Vik or the more feminine-like Master Suite Seveso. Truly, a trip to Estancia Vik Jose Ignacio is like taking an Art Appreciation class.
