The Faena Hotel was the brainchild of Argentine Businessman Alan Faena and world famous designer Philippe Starck. In 2004, they transformed an abandoned one-hundred year old grain silo, which was known as the El Porteno Building, into the wonderful Faena Hotel + Universe.
