Hotel Traube transfers you to some distant past with quaint but nice old photos in the public areas. You will actually be located in a village next to Stuttgart, but this is not necessarily bad. You either prefer the quiet outside of the city bustle, or appreciate the vicinity of the Expo Centre. Reck’s on site restaurant serves traditional regional fare, and the organization of the kitchen and restaurant facilities is unusual, meaning the kitchen is across the courtyard.
What is definitely not good value or good idea both for business and leisure guests is the complicated process of connecting to Wi-Fi. Hotel Traube is not really honeymoon material, it would serve for weekend breaks well, but there is no luxury adequate for a really special stay. The bar and the dinner restaurant wing are in fact within the same room, so watch out for the cigarette smoke since smoking is allowed in the bar.
