The Ice Hotel in Jukkasjarvi is an ultramodern hotel made entirely of ice that is reinvented and reconstructed ever year since it open in the 1980’s. The ice used in construction of the hotel comes from nearby Torne River. There are usually around 60 to 80 unique rooms with choices for warm or ice cold accommodations. There is also a grand reception hall, a sauna, a multimedia theatre, a mesmerizing chapel, two restaurants, a champagne bar, and the unique Ice bar.
During summer, the hotel has normal operations having three artsy suites and even offers ice sculpting sessions for guests.
