Simple living and dramatic scenery describe Kuidas Camp. Enjoy a drink in front of your tent and take in the spectacular view of the mountains, desert gravel planes, and lush reed-beds growing along the Skeleton Coast’s Huab River. Or see the many birds as you explore the riverbed in a 4×4. A short walk to a nearby sandstone hill yields ancient rock engravings believed to be from local Bushmen. At night you can use the camp’s digital tracking telescope to view the rings of Saturn or the many star clusters in the clear desert sky. Each tent has an ensuite bucket “shower” that is filled with hot water every morning. Meals are served at rustic wooden tables in the small central area.
