Weinhaus Zum Krug
Weinhaus Zum Krug is Hattenheim’s local attraction due to its exquisite façade of an early 18th century half-timbered house. Laufer family has been running it passionately since the World War II for three generations now, keeping it originally small and delicate. Still, Josef Laufer III, the current owner, expanded the hotel by turning the former Town Hall building into a meeting space and new modern rooms upstairs.
Weinhaus Zum Krug building features traditional rustic style rooms, so guests can choose their accommodation depending on taste and availability. All rooms are comfortable, with private bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, flat TVs , while the new contemporary style rooms have floor heating and individually designed stone baths. Other in-room amenities include complimentary fruit plate, house champagne, lemonade and water, but these vary upon the package selected. Corporate rates are the best value while the conference rate for one day events starts from €60 per event participant.
The highlight of the hotel and the main reason to visit is its unique wine card and family wine cellar along with the gourmet restaurant serving a mix of traditional and modern specialties prepared by the owner who will also provide excellent sommelier advice.
