Chef Rathbun showcases his fine dining vision of letting top quality ingredients speak for themselves in this unpretentious, yet remarkably clever restaurant. While many fine dining establishments bamboozle their clientele with complex and showy dishes, Abacus serves up uncomplicated, excellent food that stands out from the crowd.
Champagne and Lobster Shooters are an excellent way to start your dining experience here and the varied selection of entrees changes regularly and are all outstanding. There is a key focus on presentation at Abacus and diners who are particularly pleased by the eye as well as the palate will love the creative touches. The beverage selection is as one would expect from this type of restaurant, unpretentious and not particularly adventurous but high quality all the same. The only disappointment comes with dessert; it almost feels like an afterthought and it’s probably wiser not to bother.
Abacus is open for dinner Monday to Wednesday 6pm until 10pm, Friday and Saturday from 6pm until 11pm and is closed on Sunday.
