Le Val d’Or at is a very modern and elegant fine dining restaurant at celebrity TV chef Johann Lafer’s Stromberg guesthouse, just 50 km outside downtown Frankfurt. The celebrity chef couple opened the stromberg in 1994 but the dining area was recently renovated to feature a very unique concept featuring four natural seasons. Clever lighting, a mixture of natural shades, and lvoely fresh flower arrangements make the interiors very appealing and relaxing.
The international seasonal menu offers a choice of 6 or 8 courses but a la carte dishes may also be ordered. Expect dishes like lobster carpaccio with monkfish and fennel salad, veal tongue and loup de mer, Japanese style miso soup with buckwheat noodles, black and white bean crusted veal with mushrooms and greens.
Restaurant Le Val d’Or is open Wed-Sun for dinner from 6pm – 10pm and for lunch on weekends and public holidays from noon until 2pm. Reservations are required.
