Olive Press

Olive PressThe motto here is “enjoy the real taste of Italy”, and that is exactly what you will do. Walking into the Olive Press, your senses are immediately set on fire by the intense aroma in the air of olive oil, tomatoes, and fresh basil.

Take a long deep breath in to really wet your appetite, then open your eyes and take in all the splendor that is the Olive Press. This restaurant is transportive, when you open your eyes you will be surrounded by the warm embrace of rustic Italy. The staff here are gracious and welcoming, making you feel like you’re part of their big Italian family. Once at your table you’ll be overwhelmed by all the choices in food.

They specialize in authentic dishes, like pizza cooked in a brick fire oven, a favorite would have to be the Fiorentina, with spinach, roasted red onions, gorgonzola, egg, and mushrooms! They make their own pastas here as well, giving you the freshest taste possible.

Opus One

Opus OneFound inside of the Radission Blu Edwardian Hotel, Opus One is a prime spot to have a bit of nosh.

Specializing in traditional British fare, with a modern twist. Opus One’s décor is dramatic, glamorous, and stunning. It matches well with the Italianate façade of the hotel. You’ll love the mix of red chandeliers, modern black wooded tables and chairs, and the touch of gold they use really sets everything off nicely.

The food is excellent, and you may like to know, most of their produce is locally sourced. Everything this place does is spot on. With excellent service, fast and friendly, beautiful food, also nice sized portions, and quality, often time locally grown food, Opus One is a must when going through Manchester. If you like Fois Gras, try theirs, you’ll thank me.

Also worth mentioning is their extensive wine selection.

Open Monday to Sunday for Afternoon teat 12pm – 5:30pm, dinner is server from 6pm – 10:30pm, and all day dining on Sunday is 12pm – 10:30pm. Reservations are highly encouraged.
