The Catovica family has owned the flour and olive mill for over 2 centuries and decided to open a restaurant that would feature traditional age old recipes. The ambiance here is truly spectacular; a stream in the middle where ducks waddle and swim and you can even see some bunnies hopping about. The food is also divine. Start with the mixed seafood salad and try the bouzarra or seafood paella for mains. They also have various homemade cheeses.

Stari Mlini by the Ljuta river in Kotor has come a long way since it opened its doors as a casual dining restaurant over 30 years ago being a flour mill since the 16th century. Guests arrive either by car or by sea and get a sense of awe as soon as they enter or dock at the restaurant marina and fall in love with the sights all the more as they walk the cobble stone steps and cross the stone and wooden bridges. The tranquil sound of the stream and the turning of the water wheel add to the dream like ambiance as diners enjoy great local cuisine outdoors under grape trellises.
The menu focuses on letting the fresh flavours of the local produce shine. Trout that is farmed at the mill is a specialty dish.
