El RinconcilloEl Rinconcillo is arguably the oldest and most famous Restaurant and Tapas Bar in Seville. It is located near Santa Catalina Church, the northern part of Santa Cruz Barrio.

The fascinating building that houses the restaurant was built in 1670 and was previously part of a convent which was converted into a restaurant in 1898. Today, traces of days gone by are still very much apparent in the décor and furniture, with glazed tiles, marble top tables, stained glass windows and dry aged ham hanging from the ceiling. The first level offers three to five course meals and the bar on the second level where many locals and tourists hang out offers tapas and of course, some good old cerveza.

El Rinconcillo offers Andalusian cuisine with specials like Pavias Cod, Huelvan Chachinas (sausages), jamon Serrano, and ortiguillas fritas (fried sea anemone dish). Experience traditional Andalusian dining and tapas from 1pm to 1:30am daily at El Rinconcillo.

The bustling restaurant is located near the Giralda tower and the cathedral so it is busy day in and day out. The setting is an 18th century refurbished home with a spacious tapas bar on the ground level and two lovely dining rooms upstairs.

The daily changing menu features fresh market ingredients. Try the daily tapas specials or his famous asparagus flamequin (breaded fried pork with cheese and asparagus stuffing) and grilled cod with asparagus sauce. Their bodega boasts of more than eleven thousand bottles of wine!

Enrique Becerra Restaurant and Tapas bar is open on Mon – Sat from 1pm – 4:30pm for lunch and 8pm until midnight for dinner. Reservations are recommended.

Taberna Sol Y Sombra

All three restaurants have the same bullfighting scene theme, with walls filled with age old bullfighting posters and ceilings covered with hanging jamones. The menu is quite extensive, with many sumptuous meat and seafood offerings. Make sure to try the gambas al ajillo, melt in your mouth bull cola, and solomillo al ajo (garlic flavoured slow cooked pork).

Vineria San Telmo
