La Bottega del Vicoletto (formerly known as il Vicoletto) in Alba is a hidden treasure for epicureans. There is no visible signage by their entrance just the word that says “gastronomia”; located on a quiet country lane. The husband and wife owners Bruno Boggione and Ilvia Bonino makes sure that guests are presented with the best local produce that they have to offer.
The shop and eatery sells exquisite cheese selections, jams, breads, fine wines, and even picnic food in baskets. The dining are is petite but handsomely decorated. Ilva uses seasonal produce to create fabulous meals with dishes like truffled roast squab, tajarin with beef ragou, venison prosciutto, lumache (snails) in tomato sauce on top of riced potato, and chocolate sauced torrone semifreddo. A la carte and tasting menu with excellent wine pairings from Bruno’s cellar are available. They also accommodate groups of up to fifteen people for wine tastings.

Ristorante Guido da Costigliole

Da Guido Restaurant in Asti, about an hour drive away from Turn centre, is a fine dining restaurant situated in a historic structure. Guido and wife Lidia Alciati first opened their restaurant doors back in 1961.
They have passed on since then but have left an amazing culinary legacy to their family and the restaurant re opened in a new location in Santo Stefano Belbo which still lives on to be one of the finest restaurants in the Piedmont province today. Housed in an old monastery turned into a resort, the restaurant is truly elegant and comforting, with a huge hearth that makes for a cozy ambiance. The amazing hilltop view is also a huge bonus.
The Da Guido kitchen still serves Lidia’s classical recipes of Langhe region but given a modern interpretation using seasonal fresh ingredients. Their cellar boasts of over 2,500 fine local and international wines.
